Jonathan is the Founder and CEO of Modesail, and has been an executive in the Technology, Managed Services, Data Center, Cloud, Telecommunications and Consulting industries for a over a quarter-century.  He has developed and launched new businesses, units, products, and teams at a series of companies around the world.  Jonathan's focus on developing and delivering innovation - for large, legacy-heavy companies as well as start-ups - is at the core of his many roles in strategy, business development, M&A, marketing, product management, alliances and channels.

In addition, Jonathan is recognized as a thought leader on topics ranging from consumer behavior to hybrid cloud to edge computing and IoT to payment card trends.  He has been published in numerous magazines and periodicals, and spoken at conferences for Gartner, Forrester, 451 Research, Frost & Sullivan, EdgeCongress and more.  Jonathan has an MBA from Columbia University, a BA from Brown University, and is a patron of Mansfield College, University of Oxford where he also studied.  He also is a patron of that university's Bonavero Institute of Human Rights.

Jonathan lives in Boulder, Colorado USA and maintains residences in London, UK and in Greece.  He has lived in Australia, Asia and Europe, and is a dual USA-UK citizen with a Greek permanent residency visa.

Anan Data Solutions: Chief Executive Officer – heading all commercial, solution, operational, financial, and administrative function for multi-national data center company, with regular Board coordination including private equity and real estate investment representatives

CenturyLink: Vice President, Hybrid IT Services – leading all strategy, product, marketing, alliances, transformation for company’s Cloud, Managed Hosting, Security and Data Center Networking businesses (P&L > $500M); founder and head of Workload & Vertical Marketing Unit

Level 3 Communications: Vice President, Business Development & Global Strategic Alliances – leading all alliance formation and management including strategies, solutions and activities worldwide; head of Business Development worldwide, and Cloud Strategy team 

Colt Technology Services: Vice President, Strategy & Business Development – leading all corporate, business unit and product strategy development; all M&A and major transformation programs; new business launches; turnarounds of specific products

Capgemini: Principal, Head of UK/Ireland Telecom, Media and Networks Strategy Consulting Team – leading all strategy consulting practice development, delivery and management plus large account management

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young: Principal, Head of Australia & New Zealand Telecom/Media/Network Strategy & Business Consulting Unit – managing practice, P&L, and projects including Strategy, Transformation, Performance Improvement, Operation Modeling and Management, Investment Advisory, Customer Relationship Management
